Sara and Kaylaās Pismo Beach wedding was something special.Ā
Iād met up with them earlier in the year for their engagement session, which was such a blast that I knew I was in for it with their elopement. In the best way.
When I showed up at the Victorian Estate at 7:30am and drove around the back, Kayla was right there to say hello. She showed me where Sara was getting her makeup done and said, āMy homie is here!āĀ
Everything was relaxed–my preferred way to start wedding mornings. Family and friends were setting up tables and the ceremony site, Sara surprised Kayla with her wedding band, and their wee ring bearer practiced walking carefully down the aisle.
They got mostly ready together, then got dressed separately so that they could do a first look under the pier: a true Pismo Beach wedding. And a very big thank you to the man on the beach who kept other beachgoers away from us so I didnāt have to edit them all out of the first look photos! You sweet baby angel.
The ceremony was a sweet, quiet one with close family and friends, followed by a lunchtime reception complete with cupcakes, dancing, toasts, and dinosaurs. …And then we went back to the beach for sunset photos because how can you not? I always try and coax my couples out and about for the sunset–the light is unreal. Especially for a Pismo Beach wedding. Sun setting out over the Pacific… And apparently, we were there on one of two days out of the entire year that the sun sets directly over the pier!Ā
Absolutely magical.
Thank you so much, Kayla and Sara, for everything. I say this over and over, but I really am the luckiest. I get to work with these incredible couples who treat everyone around them so well, who love on each other so hard. You two deserve all the happiness xx
